Now Enrolling for January 2020!

Learning Arabic, the language of the Holy Qur’an, is a religious, communal obligation. It is the language of the Prophet ﷺ and the language of the people of Paradise. It is among the original languages revealed to Prophet Adam ﷺ. It is an Islamic science whose branches are numerous and vast. For these reasons, the Muslim should acquire this knowledge from trustworthy Muslim teachers who have sound chains of narration.

To read the book of the Holy Qur’an, one must know how to read Arabic. To write down the words of the Prophet ﷺ, one must know how to script and write the Arabic letters. To understand the authentic Islamic texts of the scholars, one must understand the rules of grammar and syntax.

This great knowledge would be acquired so one could reach what is more important – learning what the Creator has ordered us to do, and what we are prohibited from doing. One would also implement the manners and methodology of the Prophet ﷺ, thereby following him on the path to Paradise.

ALIPH offers the opportunity to be immersed in the study of Islamic Knowledge and the Arabic language. Two programs are available year-round: Full-Time and Part-Time. The Full Time Program comprises three years of study, the quality of which competes with any university program in the country. The school year is nine months with students meeting every weekday from morning to afternoon. The Part Time Program meets twice a week for 90 minutes and is designed to accommodate all other students.

The goal of the ALIPH programs are to teach Arabic, the language of the Qur’an, so the student would have the ability to learn and understand the correct meanings of the verses of the Qur’an and the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ thereby having a true understanding of what Islam is, what is incumbent of him, and what is mandatory for him to refrain from. The student will also be able to learn and understand the Islamic knowledge that its scholars have documented for more than 1400 years.

Participants in the program will learn how to read Arabic fluently, script the Arabic alphabet, compose passages, speak the classical Arabic comfortably and with ease, memorize portions of the Qur’an, learn the rules of Qur’anic recitation, understand the basics of Hadith terminology, read classical Arabic literature, memorize religious texts, learn the basics of the Islamic creed and jurisprudence.

Among the fields of knowledge that students master their basics are: Conversational Skills, Public Speaking, Morphology, Dictation, Calligraphy, Islamic Creed, Islamic Jurisprudence, Eloquence, Composition, Qur’an Recitation, Tajwid, Arabic Grammar and Syntax, and Hadith Lexicon.

ALIPH is a much-needed religious activity that promotes Islamic education, disseminates the teachings of Islam, clarifies the moderateness of Islam, exposes the misguidance of extremism and warns against their deviant factions, and acquaints Muslims with their great Islamic culture, language, and scholars.
